Time to Refill & Renew

Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love.

Its Christmas eve & let’s spread the Christmas spirit, which is in spreading cheer, caring, sharing & coming together. As 2021 comes to an end and I’m getting ready to take a break from work, I decided to list down some reflections that I had during the year…

  • Don’t underestimate the value of finding ways to bring joy and create hope. Small & Big. We all need it and it fuels energy
  • Culture really does eat strategy for breakfast. It’s easy to create in the good times and tricky to maintain in the tough times but without it, you’re stuck, completely.
  • Equity, Inclusion & Belonging should rightly permeate every aspect of our organizations. That makes it huge and you’ll only get there one foot in front of the other but do start walking, progress brings momentum and learning along the way, to a better way.
  • Time is the new benefit. The expectation. The demand. It creates choice for people and balance in their lives. It will 💯 mean that people offer ‘work’ less than before in quantity of hours but so much more in the quality of the ones they give. It’s a power shift, that scares companies who don’t trust their people but it is an opportunity for greater motivation, contribution and loyalty. Treat time as a unique benefit, it’ll pay back 10 folds
  • Work with people you can call friends.
  • Work in places that only want the real you, and all of it.


2022 is going to be another year of uncertainty, but we have got through a couple of those now. Hold on to the fact that you’re navigating things just fine, it has taken us all to dig in and grit our teeth, but we have done. That’s called resilience and it’s worth taking with us with pride into the new year.
