DKHR and cricket continue to be my passions and hence I happen to end up co-relating the same. This is one of those write ups which has been inspired by Dinesh Karthik and the organizations review of talent. As an HR I get to interact with a lot of people, perspective employees, professional HR vendors, students and this blog is a result of all of this.

The innings Dinesh Karthik (DK) played on 18th March in the finals against Bangladesh is etched in the minds of every cricket fan especially if you are an Indian or a Bangladeshi, of course for a different set of reasons. Why am I talking about DK in an HR related subject is for a simple reason – he had been written off by one and all. He had been written off to an extent that a young talented Rishabh Pant was named successor to MS Dhoni (MSD).

What was DK’s fault? He had a slump in form at the time when a young man from Ranchi was making tremendous strides playing for his state as well as India – A. Credit to MSD for establishing himself as a match winner and a high performer (HiPo). (more…)
