Those who know me also know my passion for coffee. Ever since Starbucks launched in India, I’ve just been craving for it. Their recent launch of Dark Mocha has had me drooling all over it. The experience of sitting in their café and sipping the coffee is simply a bar above the rest. This book makes you think differently and see how to do business from a different perspective. It mentions very simple yet effective practices which make a huge impact and makes you realize “Why didn’t I ever think of that?” or  “Why didn’t I ever think that way?” or “Why has this not been done before?”

Interesting Insights 

Many businesses just give a customer what they would expect, but Starbucks has an abiding principle of surprise and delight. They don’t just want to meet a customer’s expectations; they want to wow and delight them. It is with that in mind that Starbucks trains its employees to look for opportunities to not only surprise and delight their customers but also their own employees as well. They believe in enhancing the experience for their teams so that the teams can enhance the same for the customers.  They do in a simple and an uncomplicated behaviour.
